The Geological Society

The Geological Society of London was founded in 1807. It is the UK national society for geoscience, and the oldest geological society in the world. The Society provides a wide range of professional and scientific support to around 10 000 members, and is a global leader in Earth science publishing. Its journals, Special Publications and books are internationally renowned and are available electronically via the Society's own Lyell Collection, and also via GeoScienceWorld.
